nobody knows which treatments will work.
They include…
Steroid injection under the skin surface
Topical corticosteroids
Topical immunotherapy
Topical minoxidil
Ultraviolet light therapy
Irritating drugs may be applied to hairless areas to cause the hair to regrow.
"A variety of factors are thought to cause alopecia areata, possibly including severe stress."

Hair loss is genetic and due to dying hair follicles. Propecia can help some regrowth on the crown – but not in the front. Also, you would need a Rx for it; and there are some possibility of side effects (decrease in libido). Rogaine can help with some regrowth, but must be used daily. Once you stop – you will lose the hair you regrew. There is no "cure". You could go to a surgical facility and see whether or not you are a good candidate (plentiful donor area, etc). Good Luck!

Well a family member put on nail polish remover and went completly bald. He uses a wig now that I stylize and his hair doesent grow anymore.

Unfortunately not. Sometimes it grows back on its own and sometimes it doesn’t.My husbands hair grew back after 2 years, we think it was bought on by stress. We eliminated all stress in his life and he now has a good head of hair………..

The only cure is a hair transplant,Two good examples of this would be
Elton John and Wayne Rooney.
Any cream’s and lotion’s are just money making quackery.
